Chrysler Recalls
At Naderi Law Group, we closely monitor vehicle recalls that may affect California drivers, especially when they involve safety and reliability concerns. Recently, Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) announced several recalls across multiple models, raising serious questions about safety and potential lemon law protections for consumers.
Recent Chrysler Recalls
Chrysler’s latest recalls impact a wide range of popular Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles. The issues include:
2024–2025 Dodge Charger and Jeep Wagoneer S
Risk of vehicle rollaway, which can cause crashes, injuries, or worse if the vehicle unexpectedly moves when parked.2022–2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles)
Potential loss of drive power while operating, creating a dangerous risk if the vehicle stalls in traffic.2022–2025 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer
Door trim detachment that may interfere with airbag performance or pose an injury risk to passengers.2019–2021 Ram ProMaster and 2019–2020 Dodge Journey
Rearview camera image display failure, which can significantly reduce rear visibility and increase the chance of backover accidents.
These recalls highlight ongoing quality and safety issues with Chrysler-manufactured vehicles, many of which pose risks that go far beyond inconvenience.
How Do Recalls Relate to the California Lemon Law?
A recall alone does not automatically mean you have a lemon. However, if your Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram vehicle has repeated or unresolved repair attempts for the same defect—or if it spends a significant amount of time in the repair shop—you may be entitled to protection under California’s Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act (commonly called the California Lemon Law).
Under this law, consumers may be eligible for:
A refund or replacement vehicle if the manufacturer cannot fix the defect within a reasonable number of attempts.
Reimbursement for incidental costs, such as towing or rental cars.
Coverage of attorney’s fees, meaning you pay nothing out of pocket to pursue your lemon law claim.
What Should Chrysler Owners Do?
If you own or lease one of the affected Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram vehicles:
Check for open recalls at NHTSA.gov/recalls.
Take your vehicle to an authorized dealership for recall repairs as soon as possible.
Document all repair visits, including dates, mileage, and the issues reported.
Contact a lemon law attorney if your vehicle continues to experience defects or remains out of service for extended periods.
