Stellantis Recalls
In 2024, Stellantis experienced significant recalls, including those affecting Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, and Ram vehicles, mainly due to issues with rearview camera displays, anti-lock brake systems, and stability control systems, totaling around 1.5 million vehicles.
Here's a breakdown of the major recalls:
Rearview Camera Display Issues:
Stellantis recalled a large number of vehicles, including Chrysler Pacificas, Dodge Durangos, Jeep Compasses, Grand Cherokees, Grand Wagoneers, and Wagoneers, along with some Ram models, due to a software error that could prevent the rearview camera image from displaying.
This issue affected model years 2021-2023 for some models, and 2022-2023 for others.
A free radio software update was the solution to the problem
Anti-lock Brake and Stability Control Issues:
Stellantis recalled 1.46 million vehicles globally, including nearly 1.23 million Ram 1500 trucks, due to a software malfunction in the anti-lock brake system that could disable electronic stability control.
This issue resulted in warning lights illuminating during startup, indicating that the anti-lock brake, stability control, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision warning systems were not functioning.
Other Notable Recalls:
Stellantis recalled 33,000 Jeep Gladiator and Wrangler vehicles due to a potential short circuit issue in the instrument panel cluster.
Stellantis also recalled 27,354 Maserati vehicles in the US over a rearview camera image display issue, with a radio software update as the fix.
The recall affects certain 2023-2024 Grecale, 2023-2025 MC20 Cielo, 2024 GranTurismo, GranCabrio, 2021-2024 Levante, Ghibli, Quattroporte, and 2022-2025 MC20 vehicles
